Description

The L-shaped stable and carriage shed range at Home Farm is a 19th-century structure situated opposite the northern and southern cottages. The building is constructed from regularly coursed rubblestone, featuring tooled Anglesey limestone ashlar dressings and quoins, topped with slate roofs that have slate-coped verges and simple kneelers.

The stable range includes four wide openings with boarded double doors grouped to the left. There is a doorway roughly at the center flanked by windows, followed by another window that is 20-paned and pivot-hung, and then another wide opening with double doors. All openings are segmental headed with voussoirs. To the right, the gable end of the corner building displays twin round-headed blind openings. The north wall of this section features a 6-paned sash window at the center and a boarded door to the right, both of which are segmental headed, along with a prominent stone stack behind the ridge.

To the right of this is the north elevation of the carriage sheds, which has a central gabled break with a round-headed arch topped by a tall gabled bellcote. This elevation is flanked by two full-height half-glazed double doors, a boarded door, and a 12-paned sash window, all of which are segmental headed. Further to the right, there is another 12-paned sash window, a wide inserted opening, and a boarded door, with the original openings again being segmental headed.

The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
