Description
The walled garden opposite Dairy Cottage dates from the 18th century and is enclosed by a coped rubble stone wall that slopes down to meet the coped square ashlar gate piers. The iron gates feature a heavily scrolled wrought iron overthrow in the 18th-century style, incorporating initials at the center. The pair of arch-headed gates includes top, foot, and locking rails that are also ornamented, along with decorative iron panels on each side. Additionally, on the far southwest side, there is a smaller gateway with a single iron gate that has the same detailing.
