Description

This building is a late Georgian-style church hall that was originally a school. It features three bays and is a single-storey structure made of coursed squared rubble with a graded slate roof. The roof has projecting boarded eaves and two reduced former ridge ventilators. The central bay is slightly advanced and includes a porch with a replaced boarded door beneath a parapet. On either side of the porch are narrow sash windows with four over one panes, and above the porch is a four-pane window set beneath a cornice. The pediment above the central bay has a blind roundel with the words 'Feed my Lambs' painted on it. The outer bays contain sash windows with six over one panes, which are set within shallow arched recesses.

The left gable end of the building is roughcast. Attached to the right angle is a later addition, a parallel gabled wing constructed of snecked rock-faced stone with freestone lintels and a slate roof. This wing features a boarded door on its left gable end, which faces the main building. The side wall of this wing has a twelve-pane horned sash window, while the right gable end has a four-pane sash window. The right gable end of the main range has a lower gabled roughcast projection, to the right of which is another boarded door. The rear of the building has four small-pane sash windows.

Inside, the hall has been modernized but still displays a plaque that was installed in 1920 to commemorate fifty years of teaching at the school by Ellen Parry.
