8 Holywell Terrace

8 Holywell Terrace is part of a terrace of six single-fronted, two-storey houses built from square coursed rubble, featuring graded slate roofs. The roof of No 12 has been replaced with thin square slates, and the houses have roughcast stacks, except for a brick stack on the left side of No 12. Each property has a doorway on the right with a round head; the voussoirs are exposed on No 12 but concealed by render on the other houses. Above each doorway is a painted tympanum over a replaced door. The windows have stone lintels on the lower storey and are located beneath the eaves on the upper storey. The original windows have been replaced with mainly small-pane top-hung casements. The right gable end of No 2 is pebble-dashed with an external stack, while the left gable end of No 12 is made of rubble stone. There are additions at the rear of the terrace. This group of houses is collectively known as 2-12 Holywell Terrace.
