Description
4 Holywell Terrace is part of a terrace of six single-fronted, two-storey houses constructed from square coursed rubble with graded slate roofs. The roof of No 12 has been replaced with thin square slates, and the houses feature roughcast stacks, except for a brick stack on the left side of No 12. Each property has a doorway on the right with a round head; the voussoirs are exposed on No 12 but concealed by render on the other houses. Above the replaced doors, there are painted tympanums. The windows in the lower storey have stone lintels, while those in the upper storey are located beneath the eaves. The original windows have been replaced with mainly small-pane top-hung casements. The right gable end of No 2 is pebble-dashed and has an external stack, while the left gable end of No 12 is made of rubble stone. There are additions at the rear of the terrace. This group of houses is located at 2-12 Holywell Terrace.
