Description

The railway viaduct, which is partly located in the Llandygai community, features 14 semi-circular arches. It is constructed from rock-faced and heavily tooled red sandstone masonry, with rusticated voussoirs and quoins. The arches have brick soffits, and there are plinths and freestone impost bands on each pier. The structure includes a cornice and a plain parapet. The end piers slightly project, and the piers next to the river have ramped brick bases.
