Description

Lleiniau-hirion is a single-storey house built from granite boulders on large boulder foundations. It features a slate roof, with a rooflight, which was installed around 1994 to replace an earlier slate roof and possibly earlier thatch. The house is situated uphill and includes an integral dairy or farm building that runs in line with it. There is a framed and boarded door to the right of the main axial stack, leading into a living kitchen that may have originally served as a dairy. The timber windows were replaced around 1994, and there is a small rear bedroom wing. The dairy or farm building is narrower and located beyond and to the right of the former gable stack, which now has the main entrance door. This entrance features a central door flanked by small windows on each side. A large buttress supports the gable end. The interior was not seen during the inspection but is said to have a tile fireplace covering the presumed large main fireplace.
