Description
Glanafon comprises two three-storey houses, originally part of a terrace of three or more dwellings. The houses are constructed of rough-dressed rubble, with modern slate roofs and plain eaves. A rubble gable parapet is present on the left-hand side of number 1. The buildings feature gable end chimneys and a central chimney shared between the two units, all with weather coursing. A modern skylight is visible on number 1, and two smaller skylights are on number 2. The facades are symmetrical, designed as a reflected pair. Each house has a recessed central entrance with a Victorian four-panelled door, which is partly glazed. Simple, single-storey open porches, supported by plain columns and featuring plain entablatures and moulded cornices, provide access. The porch to number 2 has plain glazed return sides. Each floor has three windows; near-flush twelve-pane sashes are found on the ground and first floors, with nine-pane sashes above. Projecting stone lintels are present above the windows. All windows to number 2 are original, with the exception of the upper glazing on the right-hand side of the first floor. Number 1 has one Victorian four-pane sash on the top floor to the left, and five modern plastic windows designed to resemble sashes. The remaining windows on number 1 are original.
