Description
Cae'r Gors is a single-storey cottage with a two-room layout, oriented roughly from north-east to south-west. It features a full-length catslide outshut at the rear and has an attached cowhouse on the north-east gable end, sharing the same roofline as the cottage. The structure is built from roughly coursed rubblestone. At the time of the survey, the building was roofless, and all door and window joinery was missing.
The cottage has windows on either side of an offset entrance, with a substantial ridge stack to the left where it meets the cowhouse and an integral end stack on the right. The cowhouse includes an offset doorway at the front and another doorway at the rear. Inside, the cottage has a stone cross wall and a large fireplace with a timber lintel to the left stack, along with a smaller fireplace in the right room.
