Description
This is a disused cottage located immediately to the north-east of Maes Eilian. It is a single-storey building with a two-room layout, oriented roughly from north-west to south-east. The exterior features irregularly coursed rubblestone with some traces of render, and the front has more regularly coursed stone with buttered pointing. The roof is made of grouted graded slate.
On the front, there are four-paned sash windows with slate sills, although the left window was boarded up at the time of the survey. The entrance consists of a slightly offset boarded door with a narrow rectangular overlight above it, and there are rendered integral end stacks. At the rear, there is a full-length lean-to with a red brick stack on the right side.
To the right gable end of the main cottage, there is a lower range that has been rebuilt and extended in the 20th century. A small 19th-century rooflight just below the ridge indicates that there is a loft above the right room of the cottage. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
