Description
This is a cottage located behind Glennydd, built from whitewashed rubble stone with a corrugated iron roof and brick stacks at each end. It is a single-storey, double-fronted structure featuring a 12-pane sash window on the left, a ledged door in the center, and a small 9-pane casement window on the right. The timber lintels above the windows are notable, and there is a straight joint to the left of the right window, indicating that the building may have been extended or rebuilt. The right end has rounded corners, and there is some cob walling visible in the gable. Additionally, there is a small 4-pane casement window in the roughcast left end wall and one small window at the center of the rear.
Inside, the cottage has boarded ceilings with a trap door leading to the loft. The original thatched roof is covered by the tin, supported by two heavy collar trusses. There is a plank partition to the left of the entry and a tongue-and-groove partition to the right, creating small rooms on either side, each featuring 19th-century fireplaces. The ceilings have sawn timbers that are likely from the 19th century, while the roof trusses appear to be older.
