Description

The Cottage is a house built from whitewashed rubble stone, featuring slate roofs and stone end stacks. It has one-and-a-half storeys and a three-window arrangement of pointed windows, which are casement pairs with fixed intersecting-tracery top-lights. The upper windows extend above the eaves into stone gables. The ground floor windows have stone voussoirs, raised hoodmoulds, thin slate sills, and there is a central gabled stone porch with a pointed doorway and a similar fixed overlight above the ledged door. The sides of the porch have small pointed windows with hoodmoulds. The rear range, originally a lean-to, was raised in 1911 and now features two similar upper windows that also break the eaves.
