Description

The War Memorial is a columnar Cenotaph made of ashlar limestone masonry, designed in an austere Classical style. It has a square base with a moulded plinth and a stepped top. Each side features a prominent panel that includes a clock at the top, which is framed by a moulded hood and carved head stops. Below the clock, there is an inset bronze tablet that lists the names of the men from the parish who lost their lives in the First World War (1914 - 1918) and the Second World War (1939 - 1945). The northwest panel is adorned with a plain incised cross.
