Description
Aberbraint Lodge is a single storey T-plan lodge with later additions at the rear. The front is symmetrical, featuring a central porch with a steeply pitched roof and bay windows at each gable end. The building is constructed of rock-faced stone and has a slate roof with projecting eaves and verges, plain bargeboards, and a centrally positioned pair of octagonal stone stacks.
The front includes a central porch with a 4-centred voussoir arch and a moulded panel above. To the left of the porch is a 2-light, 8-pane side hung casement window, and to the right is a louvred window. Each gable end has an advanced bay window; the left bay window features a 2-light small-paned casement with a coved marble tablet above that reads: J. S. / Y Gwr a piau'r Nenbron / Blwyddyn'r Arglwydd / 1825, referring to John Saunderson Esq. This bay window is surrounded by a guilloche frieze supported on turned baluster style piers. The right bay window contains a 4-pane sash window, while the rear has a 2-light, 8-pane side hung casement.
