Description

The entrance archways at Grand Lodge, Plas Newydd, are a symmetrical structure made of limestone ashlar masonry. They feature a tall, 4-centred central archway, which is flanked by smaller pedestrian archways. On either side of the main arch, there are octagonal turrets. The design includes a chamfered plinth, shallow buttresses beside the main arch, a moulded cornice, and pointed copings on the embattled parapet. Above the pedestrian arches, there is a plain shield raised in stone.
