Description
Garth Lodge is a lofted lodge house built in a square plan. It is constructed from rusticated coursed masonry with smooth dressings. The pyramidal slate roof features a central rusticated stack with capping. Dormer windows have segmentally arched roofs with a moulded cornice above the casement windows. On the ground floor, there are paired sash windows and an entrance located in the northwest wall. The property is adorned with ornamental wrought iron double gates that have box standards and a transom supporting an overthrow with shield arms. Side railings extend a short distance to rusticated stone piers topped with cornices and urns. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
