Description

Bron Menai is a two-storey building with a scribed stucco exterior, featuring a front that has a layout of one plus two plus one windows. It has a hipped slate roof and wide bracket eaves, along with chimney stacks made of cement render and pebbledash. The central part of the building is symmetrical, with advanced and splayed bays on either side of a central entrance that leads to No 1. This entrance includes a four-pane door flanked by sidelights and a small pane fanlight. The building primarily features sash glazing, including a 12-pane window above the entrance and horned sash windows in the first-floor bays, with French windows below.

To the left, the plan steps back and has a similar entrance to No 1. The right side has been altered with a circa 1950 addition of a squared bay window, which includes a multipane metal frame window on the first floor and French windows below. There are small pane sash windows on the sides and rear of the building, and a half-glazed door at the back opens onto slate steps leading up to a large garden.

In front of the building, there is a terrace with a rubble revetment wall. The garage to the right was converted from former stables. The property is enclosed by spearhead cast-iron railings, with steps leading up at either end, complete with gates and gate piers.

Inside, the building retains some contemporary details. The entrance hall features a ceiling rose and angle niches flanking the doorway that leads to the stairwell, which has a turned handrail end. The drawing room includes a broad segmental arch with a seven-pane fanlight, which is an alteration of a former window following the extension.
