Description

The Morris Brothers Memorial is a tall Celtic memorial cross. The center and spandrels of the head of the cross are decorated with textured lozenges. The tapering shaft features a recessed panel that depicts a sailing ship alongside a mythical sea creature, with the ship's sail displaying an image of an opened book. The cross stands on a stepped, cushion tapered base, which has inscriptions on three of its four sides commemorating "... THE BROTHERS MORRIS OF PENTREIRANELL PENRHOSLLIGWY / LEWIS / RICHARD / WILLIAM / JOHN / FOUR PATRIOT BROTHERS OF THE CYMRIC RACE."
