Description
The walls and railings at the entrance to the Grand Lodge date from the 19th century and serve as the entrance to the Llys Dulas estate. These walls are curved and flank ornate gates at the southwest entrance. They are made of dressed stone and feature raking coping, topped with closely spaced railings that have fleur-de-lys finials. The walling is finished with squared, dressed stone pillars that have roll chamfered angles, moulded capping, and shaped finials, with the central pair acting as gatepiers. The wrought iron gates are highly ornate, showcasing a complex design of intricate scrollwork.
