Description
Tyn Rhos Uchaf is a 2-storey farmhouse built in 1824, featuring a 2-unit plan with a shorter service range, which includes a dairy and kitchen, located to the left (southwest). The building is constructed of rubble masonry, while the right (northeast) gable return is rendered. The roof is covered with small slates and has rendered copings and gable stacks, with a particularly large stack on the service range.
The principal elevation has a 2-window arrangement with a doorway situated between the windows, which are slightly recessed. The windows are 4-pane horned sashes with slate sills, and the doorway is square-headed, topped with a datestone that reads: 1824 P E. The service range on the left has a similarly styled ground floor window, although the first-floor opening is now blocked.
On the rear elevation, there is a mix of 4-pane sash windows of various sizes, including a central stair window, along with a square-headed doorway at the northeast end.
