Description

Nant Uchaf is a two-storey farmhouse dating from the late 19th century. It has a single pile layout with servants' quarters at the right (north) end, creating an uneven four-window range. There is a rear outshut addition with a catslide roof. The building is constructed of local rubble masonry and is pebbledashed, featuring a grouted slate roof with tiled ridge and copings. Tall rectangular dressed stone stacks with capping mark the extent of the farmhouse, with an additional stack at the north gable made of brick.

The principal elevation faces east, displaying a three-window range with a centrally located door, while the openings are offset to the north. The servants' quarters consist of a single window range with a door at the rear. The main house has a boarded door beneath a shallow fanlight, and the windows are six-paned hornless sashes with slate sills.

The rear elevation includes a later outshut addition at the south end, which is now in a ruinous condition. The servants' quarters still have the boarded door and a first-floor four-paned sash window, while the north return features modern metal-framed windows. Inside, the farmhouse retains a single cast iron bedroom fireplace decorated with a floral design.
