Description
Pen Parc is a rectangular croglofft cottage dating from the 19th century, featuring whitewashed rubble walls built on boulder foundations. The roof is grouted with old small slates, complemented by slate ridge tiles and copings, and has chimneys at either end with later 19th century octagonal shafts. The cottage is single storeyed with a two-unit plan. The doorway is slightly off-centre to the left (northeast), flanked by a single four-pane sash window with a slate sill on either side. The loft is illuminated by two small fixed lights in the southwest gable, one of which is now blocked. There is a lean-to extension at the rear (northeast).
Although the interior is not accessible, the owner reports that it contains an inglenook fireplace. The ground floor is divided by an inserted stone partition wall, and access to the croglofft is via a ladder.
