Description

The Summerhouse at Y Graig is a single-storey garden building dating from the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is slate-hung, with a grouted slate roof that has projecting verges, two red clay vents in the ridge, and a red brick chimney stack on the west gable end. The front of the building includes a three-light transomed window on the left and a three-bay tiled verandah on the right, which has central half-glazed doors beneath it. The front also has renewed timber piers. On the rear and right gable end, there are similar-style cross-frame windows.

Inside, the summerhouse has a tall, full-length room with a coved raftered ceiling and a timber chimney piece at the left end, featuring a keystone above the arched fireplace. The floor is made of timber.
