Description
Ty Capel is a croglofft cottage dating from the 18th century, featuring a one-bay addition on the left gable end. The walls are roughcast rendered and painted white, with painted architraves. The cottage roof is covered with small slates and includes a skylight for the loft on the right side; the addition has modern slates. Gable end stacks indicate the position of the original cottage, with the left stack being larger and serving an inglenook, while the addition has a single stack on the left gable end. The central entrance has a boarded door flanked by windows; the right window serves the parlour and is a smaller 4-pane horned sash window, while the left window is a 4-pane fixed light. The addition features a 16-pane sash window. All openings are framed with shouldered architraves painted blue.
