Description
Capel Horeb Assembly Rooms is a two-storey building featuring a four-window range, with rendered walls and a modern slate roof that has rendered stacks at the right end. The main entrance elevation includes two doors and two windows arranged asymmetrically. The windows are slightly recessed sashes, with the left bay having hornless 16-pane windows on the upper storey and 24-pane windows on the lower storey. The other windows consist of 24-pane sashes on the upper storey and 16-pane sashes on the lower storey.
On the left gable return, there are two wide doors that lead to the former chapel stables. Inside, a door to the right opens into a schoolroom that retains original benches and a small ornamental cast iron fire surround. To the left is a kitchen with cupboards and a dumb waiter that serves the assembly rooms above. Another door on the left leads to a staircase that ascends to the assembly rooms, which still features ornamental floriate metal ventilation grilles from its time as a chapel.
