Description
The building is a memorial clock tower, constructed in three stages. The lowest stage is made of rock-faced limestone masonry, featuring a base with a plinth and a top that has a raking ashlar course leading to the second stage. The northwest face has a segmental-headed arched recess, with the arch adorned with floriate stops. This recess holds a commemorative plaque dedicated to the men of Rhosneigr who fell in the First World War. The southeast face also has a similarly detailed recess, which contains a segmental-headed doorway. On the southwest face, there is a smaller segmental-headed commemorative plaque that was added after the Second World War.
The second stage of the tower is faced with snecked granite masonry, with limestone quoins at the corners. The interior is illuminated by narrow lights, one located in the lower southeast face and another in the upper northwest face, both with limestone surrounds. The upper stage, which houses the clock, is constructed of ashlar limestone masonry and features a stepped raking course. Each face of this stage includes a clock face with an advanced label above it, and the domed roof is topped with a plain cross.
