Description

42 Rating Row is a three-storey, three-bay house built with scribed roughcast and topped with a slate roof. It is part of a single range with No 38 Church Street and shares a roughcast stack on the left side. The entrance is located in the right-hand bay and features a plain doorcase with a bracketed canopy, a fielded-panel door that includes a glazed upper panel, and an overlight. The windows have simple moulded architraves on the lower and middle storeys. The lower storey has a single four-pane horned sash window, while the middle storey contains twelve-pane horned sashes, except for the right-hand bay, which is blind. The upper storey has a shorter nine-pane hornless sash in the central bay, with blind windows on the left and right sides. The property has not been inspected.
