Description

Melvin Cottage is a 2-storey house featuring a 2-window facade, with pebble-dashed walls painted blue and a slate roof. It has roughcast end stacks. The entrance is slightly offset to the left of center and includes a door with round-headed fielded panels and a small-pane overlight, set within a plain doorcase that has a cornice and a slate threshold. The windows on the lower storey have hood moulds and smooth-rendered architraves, with 12-pane hornless sashes. In the upper storey, there is a similar hornless sash window to the left, but it lacks an architrave. On the right side, there is a 12-pane hornless sash window that leads to a canted oriel window.
