Description
12 The Cross in Linlithgow is a three-storey, three-bay tenement building from the later 19th century, reconstructed in 1968. It features an attic that was added around 1960 and has a shop on the ground floor. The building is constructed from stugged, squared, and coursed cream sandstone, with base and eaves courses.
The west elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a shop door on the outer left, a large display window in the center, and a door to a pend on the outer right. There are three symmetrically arranged windows on both the first and second floors, which are plate glass sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a modern dormer.
