Description
The Estate Office at Glenmuick Estate is an early 20th century single-storey building designed in a cottage style, featuring a three-bay rectangular plan. It is situated to the south of the walled garden of Glenmuick House. The exterior showcases Tudor half-timbering with decorative bracing on the upper walls and rendered infill panels. A distinctive broad piended roof extends over a polygonal verandah supported by rustic timber columns on the east, north, and west elevations.
The principal elevation faces north and includes a central doorway flanked by a prominent broad canted bay on the left. The building has a concrete base course and a reed-moulded timber frame with rendered infill panels. There are later 20th century brick bases added to the timber columns, dating from between 1960 and 1980.
The windows are 18 over 2 sash and case timber designs, and the entrance features a six-panel timber door with diagonal bracing panels. The roof is grey slated, adorned with terracotta decorative ridge tiles and finials. A tooled, squared, coursed, and corniced wallhead stack with a square clay can completes the structure.
Access to the interior was not obtained during the survey in 2006.
