Description
Cliffside is a Jacobean mansion house dated 1866, located on Birkhill Road in Stirling. The building is two stories tall and constructed of rubble. The south front features twin straight gables and has two pairs of bipartite windows on the first floor, along with a canted bay and a tripartite window at the ground floor. The east front includes an advanced gabled northern section, with two windows at the ground floor and three on the first floor, and the entrance is located in the southern return frontage. The southern section has one bipartite window and a gabled dormer head on the first floor. Most openings have hood moulds, except for the canted bay, which has a crenellated parapet. The roof is slated, and there are shafted chimneys.
