Description
The Fountain of Nineveh, located on Fountain Road in Bridge of Allan, was built in the mid-19th century. It features a circular cast-iron basin set on a moulded ashlar base. Above this base stands a cast-iron fluted Roman Doric column that supports an upper basin. The column is topped with a capitalled pedestal adorned with dolphins and a shell at the top, culminating in a bird finial.
