St Saviour's Church, Fountain Road, Bridge Of Allan

St Saviour's Church, located on Fountain Road in Bridge of Allan, was originally built in 1857, possibly designed by John Henderson, and later enlarged by Alexander Ross. The church features Early Decorated architecture, constructed from red sandstone rubble with ashlar freestone dressings. The nave consists of four buttressed bays, each with 2-light windows, and a four-light window at the west end. Above this window is a two-tier bellcote topped with a cross. There is a northwest porch with attractive iron gates, and the chancel has two bays with a five-light east window and an organ chamber on the north side. A coarse north vestry was added in 1928. Inside, the church has an open timber roof, a three-seat sedilia on the south side of the chancel, and a mural in the spandrels of the organ chamber arch on the north side, along with a piscina. The church was tiled in 1897 and features stained glass windows.
