Description
Norrieston House is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-window house located on Main Street, Thornhill. It is rendered with painted stone margins. Adjacent to Norrieston House is Heatherlea, a similar house also of the same date which is rendered and has stone margins.
The front of Heatherlea features a central doorway, while the doorway to Norrieston House is offset to the left, with two windows to the right and one to the left of the entrance. The ground floor has a similar arrangement on the first floor, with three windows above one. Some original sash windows with astragals remain. Chimneys are located at both ends of the building and along the central axis. The roof is covered in slate.
