Description
Rockdale Lodge, located at 23-29 Park Place in Stirling, is an Italianate villa built around 1855. This two-storey building features an asymmetrical design with a three-storey tower that has a pyramid roof, set back in the center of the front facade. The structure is constructed with rubble and has painted margins, with architraved openings. The east front includes a ground floor canted bay and a central arched tripartite porch framed by pilasters. There is a consoled window on the south side, and the tower has round arched windows with key blocks on both the first and second floors. At the rear, there are single-storey wings with piended, slated roofs that have bracketed eaves.
