Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey 3-bay classical house.

Coursed rough whinstone with painted ashlar dressings.

Central recessed door with pedimented, tall pilastered

door-piece. Sash windows, with lying-pane glazing, chamfered

reveals, apron panels and consoled cornices. Eaves course and

cornice 2 symmetrically placed, corniced diamond stacks.

Piended slate roof. Lower later block built against

north-east wall has simpler detailing, with massive stacks

and pedimented dormers on slated steep pitch roof. Former

stable block to north west has blocked segmental-headed

opening to Braehead.
