Description
The Sun Inn, located at 74 Main Street in Douglas, dates back to 1621, as indicated on the rear lintel. This three-storey building features four bays and is rendered with roll-moulded architraves. The central entrance door is flanked by a low door and two windows on the right, with a single window to the left. The upper floors have sash windows that retain their original glazing pattern. The building is topped with crow-stepped gables, has end and ridge stacks, and is covered by a slate roof. At the rear, there is a stair tower. Inside, the ground floor includes a vaulted compartment.
