Description

36 Barn Street in Strathaven is a building dated 1819, featuring two storeys and an attic with four bays. The exterior is harled with painted margins. It has a central door with a fanlight, a single window in the outer bay to the left, and two windows to the right. On the first floor, there are four windows. The building has sash windows throughout. Notable architectural features include an eaves course, a cornice, and a central wall-head pediment that has a circular date-stone and an apex stack. There are two dormers with swept roofs, end stacks, and a slate roof.
