Description

Station Cottage is a pair of semi-detached former railwaymen's cottages built in the later 19th century. They are single storey and have a rectangular plan. The cottages are constructed of red brick, with the northern cottage painted and the eastern elevation featuring dark glazing. They have tooled ashlar dressings, some of which are painted, and a slate roof with deep eaves, exposed rafter and purlin ends, moulded bargeboards, and corniced ashlar stacks. The windows are multi-pane timber sash and case, along with top-hopper windows.

On the eastern elevation, each cottage has a later porch added to the centre that obscures the original door, with a window on the left and right. The western elevation features a window and a narrow window for each cottage, with a later door added to the northern cottage. There was an outbuilding formerly in the centre, with a rubble wall that forms part of the cottage wall. Additionally, a former detached brick and slate wash house has been converted into a garage.

The interior has not been seen.
