Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey and basement, 2-bay mirrored pair of houses forming part of terrace. Painted coursed, squared sandstone. Ground floor band course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course; painted strip margins. Architraved windows; corniced at ground floor.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central stepped platt oversailing basement; pilastered, corniced and block-pedimented double doorpiece; glazed timber doors; letterbox fanlights; glazed timber doors aligned below at basement; 2 single windows aligned above at 1st floor. Single windows to outer bays at basement, ground and 1st floors.

10-pane lying pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rooflights; stone skews; corniced stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.

RAILINGS AND GATES: ashlar copes surmounted by iron railings to stepped platt and basement; iron gates to outer left and right.
