Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey and basement, 2-bay rectangular-plan house on corner site. Coursed, squared sandstone. Eaves course; cornice; blocking course; strip quoin to right. Architraved windows; cornice to ground floor E elevation window.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: stepped platt oversailing basement to right; double pilastered, corniced and block-pedimented doorpiece; glazed timber door; letterbox fanlight; sidelight to right; single window aligned above at 1st floor; glazed timber door aligned below at basement. Regular fenestration to bay to left at basement, ground and 1st floor.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Windows to centre and left at basement; regular fenestration at ground and 1st floors (windows to centre and right at ground floor and flanking central window at 1st floor, infilled). Small modern extension to outer right.

4-pane lying pane glazing to upper sashes to E elevation (plate glass at basement); 6- and 10-pane lying pane glazing to N elevation. Grey slate roof; rooflights; stone skews; corniced gablehead stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

RAILINGS AND GATE: iron railings to stepped platt and basement to E elevation; iron gate to left.
