Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay detached house to centre of Citadel Place. Painted ashlar; harl to sides. Base course; eaves course; cornice; raised quoins; painted margins to window openings.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central entrance to cavetto-splayed doorpiece; consoled cornice; timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; regular fenestration to flanking bays.

Railed steps to recessed block-pedimented entrance to outer right (No 17); timber door.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: blank gable.

10-pane lying pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

GATES AND RAILINGS: 2-leaf iron gate to outer left (mutual with Nos 5 and 7); iron gates to entrance to No 17 and to rear; railings to right of steps to No 17.
