Description
Linkshouse in Mid Yell, Yell, is a former merchant's house built in 1770. It is a two-storey and attic structure with a three-bay near-symmetrical design and a rectangular plan, featuring harled rubble walls.
The north elevation, facing the sea, is near-symmetrical with a door located to the left of the center on the ground floor, and blank spaces in the flanking bays. The first floor has regular fenestration.
The west gable is asymmetrical with two bays, containing windows only in the left bay at the first floor and attic levels.
On the south elevation, the door is offset to the right of center on the ground floor, with a raggle indicating the position of a former gabled porch above. There are windows in the flanking bays and at the first floor in the center and left bays only.
The east gable features a single window to the left at the first floor. The building is topped with harled stacks and concrete skew-copes on the gables.
