Description
27 High Street in Coldstream is an early 19th-century, two-storey house with an attic and three bays over a basement. The basement is made of rusticated ashlar, while the ground and first floors are finished in ashlar as well. The entrance features a pilastered and corniced doorpiece with a blocking course, a panelled door, and a fanlight above. There is a band course above the ground floor, which has 12-pane sash windows. The building has an eaves cornice and a blocking course. The slate roof is complemented by brick end stacks and two small dormers. Ornate scrolled railings flank the steps leading to the entrance, with spearhead designs for the basement areas.
