Description

17 High Street in Coldstream is an early 19th century, two-storey, two-bay house built over a basement. The ground floor is rendered and designed to resemble ashlar, while the first floor features diagonally-drove ashlar.

On the right side, there is a pilastered and corniced doorpiece with an arched fanlight above a panelled door. A band course runs above the ground floor. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The house has a mutule eaves cornice and a blocking course over the right bay. The roof is slate with brick stacks at the ends. Ornate scrolled railings flank the steps leading to the entrance, with spearhead railings protecting the basement areas.
