Description
51-53 High Street in Coldstream is an earlier 19th-century building that features a later mansard roof. It is a two-storey structure with an attic and has a five-bay layout, including a shop on the ground floor. The ground floor is finished in painted rusticated ashlar, while the first floor is made of droved ashlar. There is a base course that is corniced and has a consoled centre doorpiece. To the right, there is a panelled door leading to the upper floors, and the ground floor windows have been enlarged. A band course runs above the ground floor, and the first floor has 12-pane sash windows. The slate mansard roof is adorned with five 12-pane dormers, and there are brick skews and end stacks.
