East Lodge, Kerfield, Innerleithen Road, Peebles

East Lodge, located on Innerleithen Road in Peebles, is a mid-19th century building that was extended in the 20th century. This single-storey and basement lodge is situated on sloping ground and features a bowed eastern end along with a modern extension to the west. The exterior is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone rubble, accented with grey ashlar dressings. Notable architectural details include projecting ashlar quoins on the east side, a band string course above the ground floor, and overhanging eaves.

The north elevation, which faces the front, is symmetrical, showcasing a central doorway flanked by single windows. To the west, there is a two-bay modern rendered extension that includes a garage. The east elevation features a bowed projection with a tripartite window and narrow sidelights.

On the south elevation, there are single windows at both ground and basement levels, with two additional windows above that have reduced openings. The lodge has replacement windows throughout, a slate roof, and a small brick chimney stack.
