Description

Lochtower Farm's byre, built in the mid-19th century, features a rectangular plan and is oriented north-south. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with contrasting ashlar dressings and has long and short quoins.

On the east elevation, there is a doorway and three small openings at ground level. A large opening interrupts the eaves in the piended roof to the outer left, with two small openings located just under the eaves.

The west elevation has four openings at ground level, along with a large opening that breaks the eaves in a small gabled roof, and two openings positioned hard under the eaves.

The north elevation is a blank gable.
