Description

This is a small-span road bridge, possibly dating from the early 18th century, located on Cherrytrees Road. It runs east to west over Thirlestane Burn and has been subsequently raised and buttressed. The bridge features substantial masonry spandrels, abutments, wing walls, and parapet walls. The southern side is heavily pointed, while the northern side is slaister-pointed. The southern elevation includes rubble voussoirs, and there is a concrete arch-ring and concrete buttresses on the southern side. Tie-plates are present on the northern side.
