Description

Mid 18th century with 19th century alterations; 3 storey

irregular 3 bay front to square rendered with painted ashlar

margins, ground floor has inserted mid-19th century

pilastraded shop-front, later altered and partly masked

by later single-storey projecting porch to left. 1st floor

windows to right enlarged and altered to form bipartites,

square window to 2nd floor under eaves. Elevation to Abbey

Row: rendered with painted ashlar margins, 6 bay originally

symmetrical front with steep pediment over centre 2 bays.

Mid 19th century pilastered doorcase approached by rail

steps inserted at 1st floor right centre bay. 2nd floor

windows, originally square, lengthened in 2 right-hand

bays. Rusticated angle quoins, moulded cornice stopped

below pediment. Straight skews with brick end stacks,

slated roof.
